BIOGRAPHY
I was born and raised in Iowa, where I grew up navigating the challenges of being a creative and curious kid who didn’t quite fit the mold. Traditional sports and the prevailing trends of my peers didn’t captivate me, but music became my sanctuary. Teaching myself piano, saxophone, and eventually drums and guitar, I found a way to express myself and connect with others. By my early teens, local musicians, often much older than me, recognized my talent, and I began playing gigs in small venues.
Around the same time, I discovered the magic of a camcorder. Filming comedy sketches and capturing my friends’ skateboarding and snowboarding adventures became a passion that would eventually shape my career. Traveling frequently with my father, a pilot, I was exposed to different cultures and perspectives, broadening my world beyond Des Moines.
After graduating from Colorado College with a degree in International Political Economy, I explored paths in music and politics before settling in Los Angeles. My first job in TV was as a production assistant on an NBC reality show, where I discovered an affinity for the fast-paced world of production. I quickly rose through the ranks, gaining experience in production management and eventually landing as a creative producer—my true calling.
For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working on some incredible projects, particularly in action sports and comedy, my two favorite genres to film growing up. From Rob & Big to The Dude Perfect Show and Thrasher’s King of the Road, I’ve built a career combining storytelling, creativity, and the technical aspects of production.
In 2020, the pandemic offered me the chance to embrace a new skillset: sound editing, design, and mixing. Mentored by a seasoned professional, I transitioned into podcast production, earning recognition and awards for my work. This chapter has allowed me to blend my storytelling expertise with my musical background, reigniting my passion for sound and narrative.
Today, I continue to push boundaries, collaborating with talented artists, writers, and technicians across podcasts, television, film, and social media. Whether behind a camera, at a mixing console, or crafting a narrative, I’m driven by a love for creating stories that entertain, inspire, and connect.
